Yoshida wants Yoru to use the Chainsaw Devil against the Death Devil.
The latest chapter of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga was filled with revelations. Fans learned that Yoshida and the others are keeping Katana Man, Haruka, Seigi, and Nobana hostage. Denji is shocked to learn about the havoc that Asa wrecked on Tokyo. Yoru then reveals that she’s the War Devil who has been living inside Asa’s body and committing these crimes. Yoshida tells Yoru that he wants her to turn Pochita into a mindless weapon since they’ll have to fight the Death Devil soon.

The latest issue begins with Yoshida showing a photo of Katana Man, Haruka, Seigi, and Nobana tied up in an unknown location to Denji, Asa, and Fami. He says that although they’ve taken them hostage, he doesn’t expect their lives to hold any meaning to Denji. In the cafe, Denji realizes that when he was Chainsaw Man, everyone got caught by the Public Safety officers. Pochita was obliterated by Asa, who also wreaked havoc on Tokyo with the Statue of Liberty. When he asks how this is possible, Yoru reveals that she is the War Devil and Asa’s other personality living inside her body. The only reason all of them are alive right now is because if she kills more people, Asa’s mind might break.
Denji asks if it was Asa or Yoru who got sexually involved with him, and Yoru says she’ll answer him if he eats his own hand. When Denji does it, Yoshida asks why Yoru didn’t turn the Chainsaw Devil into a weapon even after burning him into cinders and effectively beating him. The War Devil says that since Denji is already eating out of his hands, she wants to toy with him a bit more before turning him into a weapon. However, Yoshida reminds her that Yoru’s eldest sister, the Death Devil, will soon descend upon Earth and no country has the means to stop her. If the Chainsaw Devil is turned into a mindless weapon, then humanity might have a chance to defeat her and overcome death.
Denji suddenly asks if that was the reason why they turned him into Chainsaw Man and killed Nayuta. Yoshida says that he hasn’t forgotten their deal and pushes a gun in Denji’s direction. He says that if Denji lets himself get turned into a weapon, he can kill Yoshida and the others when he pleases. However, when Denji picks up the gun and pulls the trigger, it’s revealed to be empty and Yoshida says he had hoped Denji has forgiven them by now. Yoru laughs and says that humans are foolish beings who always lie and scheme. She throws the cake a waiter brings into Yoshida’s face. In the last panel of the chapter, Yoru points a finger at Yoshida and says “Bang!”

Fujimoto did a great job at revealing both Yoshida’s plan and Yoru’s true identity to Denji in the same chapter. Since it ended on a cliffhanger, fans are eager to see whether Yoru successfully kills Yoshida in one go or if the two will engage in a battle in the next chapter. On the other hand, humanity’s future seems to be in jeopardy due to the arrival of the Death Devil looming on the horizon. It remains to be seen whether Pochita and in turn, Denji, will be turned into weapons or retain their humanity.
