Blue Lock Chapter 294 recap

Isagi scores the final goal and his team starts celebrating. However, Kaiser falls to his knees after realising that Isagi completely overpowered him. He stopped moving the moment the ball reached Ness, but Isagi kept moving. The protagonist correctly predicted the evolution Ness will go through after the humiliation while he thought the boy would never change. However, he realises that the actual reason he lost was because he was having too much fun playing football with Isagi. He let go of his malice while playing with him, and that’s the reason he lost. Suddenly, Isagi appears and asks if Ness is special to Kaiser.
He continues by saying that to him, Ness was nothing but just another player with potential. Unlike him, Kaiser judged Ness based on his personal relationship and deemed him worthless. Him giving into his emotion instead of logic in the last moment is the reason why Isagi won. He extends his hand to Kaiser and says that their one-goal contract is over. Bastard München is announced as the champion of the Neo Egoist League. Since all the matches are over, it’s announced that the final salary ranking will be displayed next. The final panel of the chapter shows Reo and Nagi with the text ‘33 Minutes Earlier’ written at the bottom.
Blue Lock Chapter 294 review

Isagi really did prove himself to be the ultimate egoist in this match. Not only did he outmanoeuvre Kaiser, but also Rin at the same time. Despite playing against a genius like Rin, Isagi was able to prove the importance of being a quick learner. This was to be expected however, as he’s the main protagonist of the story. What I’m more interested in is the match between Manshine City and FC Barcha. Neither of the teams were able to win a single match in the whole league despite having some amazing players. This match, which apparently took place 33 minutes before Isagi’s victory, will determine the players’ rankings. Reo and Nagi, both playing for Manshine City, will give it their all against Bachira’s team. I might be biased for Nagi and Reo, but the two deserve a win (please Kaneshiro-sensei!)
