The police officer, who is also Unji Zuma’s foster father, helps Miss Adachi.
Aira and Okarun’s group have defeated the enemies and saved Kouki Yukishiro from the headless yokai. The latest manga chapter focuses instead on Miss Adachi, who took the power from Mr. Murakami after Kouki’s fly infestation overwhelmed him. But unbeknownst to her, Murakami was working for the same person as her, and their boss is not very forgiving. Before she could be defeated, Masamichi Bega saves her life, proving his worth as a police officer once again.

Dandadan Chapter 191 recap
The issue opens with Miss Adachi at the riverbank under an overpass. We learn that she has obtained a power and is set to hand it off to the person she’s working for. When she reaches their agreed upon meeting place, she sees a tall and creepy man standing there, extending his left hand to her. Suddenly, her phone buzzes, and when she picks it up, a voice compliments her hard work. She informs them that she has a new power, but the voice tells her that Takeshi Murakami, the person she took the power from, was also working for them. She is shocked and asks how that could be. The voice says that Murakami was also tasked with collecting powers like her. However, her target was already specified, and she had no reason to go after Murakami instead.
Adachi says that she realised something was wrong with Murakami, which prompted her to go after him. The voice cuts her off and says that the ‘Lord of the Flies’ power defeated Murakami and not her. She only picked up the leftovers, which means she is disqualified and will have to hand her Kozuka Knife to the man in front of her. She refuses, saying she can do better. But the voice tells her that it’s beyond her, as the only way to take someone’s power is to make them surrender. Someone with an amazing power like Momo’s won’t even fear death. To defeat someone like that, one needs to attack their loved ones first. But since Miss Adachi is kindhearted, she could never do something like that.
The teacher once again insists that she can do it because she has to save her mother. The creepy tall man suddenly hits her with his briefcase. When she falls down, he raises the bag again and asks her to admit defeat. Adachi refuses, remembering the face of her sick mom. The man tries to hit her again, but before that can happen, a booted foot kicks him square in the face.
The next panel shows our favourite police officer Masamichi Bega, who requests assistance with his walkie-talkie. The creepy man unleashes his power, and we see it’s one of the cards from Fairy-Tale Card, meaning his power was handed to this guy. However, since Bega already knows about it, the card’s power doesn’t work on him. The power works on Miss Adachi, who tries to attack the police officer. Bega easily pushes her to the ground. But when he looks up, the creepy man is gone.
The scene moves to the station where Momo, Seiko, Jiji, Unji, and Vamola are. Seiko asks Majiro to take care of everything while she’s gone. He in turn, reminds her to keep taking painkillers since she has broken ribs. Momo, who’s standing on Vamola’s shoulder, calls her name to get her attention, but it seems that Vamola can’t hear her. Jiji asks Momo what’s going on. She says that Vamola hasn’t been paying attention to her for a while, as if she can’t see her at all. Momo thinks that the curse which made her tiny is progressing rapidly. Soon, she will be forgotten like the pygmies, and nobody will be able to see her anymore. The final panel of the chapter shows Aira, Rin, and Kouki coming out to meet Okarun and Kinta. Aira hugs Okarun when she sees him.
Dandadan Chapter 191 review
I was hoping to see Momo again, but not like this. Her and Vamola’s friendship is one of the most precious bonds in the series, and if she can’t see Momo, it’s not a good sign. The group will have to hurry and reach the shrine to break her curse as soon as possible. It was also shocking to learn that the main target of the power-stealing villain is not Okarun, but Momo.
On the other hand, it was great to see Unji’s foster father and valiant police officer Masamichi Bega again. He became one of the fan favourite characters due to his involvement in the Danmanra Arc, especially his role in saving Zuma’s life. Now he’s back again, saving the lives of those who need it. It would be amazing to see what transpires between Miss Adachi and Bega and how he helps her. Although this is an extremely unlikely duo, I’m excited to see them work together!
