Fakesaw Man confronts Denji for having fun while the world is ending.
After revealing that Fami is actually the Death Devil, Fujimoto continued to surprise us in the previous chapter of his manga. In chapter 199, we found out that the Death Devil can consume and control devils. She used this on the real Famine Devil and fake Chainsaw Man and asked them to wreak havoc on humans. In the latest chapter, we see Denji and Asa doing some fun activities together, momentarily forgetting the current state of the world. But one character is there to confront Denji.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 200 recap
After all the craziness from the previous chapter, the latest issue opens pretty peacefully. Asa seems to aimlessly cause explosions at a distance and Denji asks what she’s doing. She says she’s shooting the sunset because she hates sunburns. Denji gives her some food he brought from the convenience store and says he paid for them with money from a dead guy’s wallet. Asa says that convenience store food is toxic, but she can eat it now because she’s also a toxic woman. She then tells Denji that he was right and she needs to do fun things and not think about the unpleasantness in the world. Before, she used to wonder why everyone was happy while she suffered. But now she realises that everyone was in pain, but they were trying to ignore it.
Asa says it’s time for some post-meal exercise. In the next panel, we see Denji riding a bicycle while Asa sits behind him. The two laugh and giggle as Asa uses her powers to kill many Chainsaw Man dupes who try to chase them. Suddenly, they see another Chainsaw Man fake in front of them, albeit looking more menacing than the rest. Asa tries to shoot him, but he easily dodges it. He attacks the duo, and they fall off the bicycle. The Fakesaw Man suddenly asks Denji why the Chainsaw Man is riding with a girl, and if the Solitary Warrior from Hell is even flirting with a girl now. This annoys Denji and he tries to shift into his devil form and attack his fake. However, the other devil proves to be powerful and Denji only cuts off one of his arms. As the two stand face to face, the Fakesaw Man asks Denji if he’s aware of the mistake he’s made.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 200 review
It was kind of sad to see Asa fall off the deep end when, between her and Yoru, she was always the kinder one. But her decision to live freely with Denji in what might be their final days also makes sense. On the other hand, the appearance of a new Fakesaw Man was quite shocking. With Fami (the Death Devil) founding the Chainsaw Man Church, the way people look at the Chainsaw Devil changed. Everyone who worships him expects him to be a messiah from hell, sent here to take devils back to where they belong. This seems to be the case with this Fakesaw Man, who was judging Denji for doing normal teenager things (with a few murders thrown in the mix). We can’t forget that at the end of the day, Denji is a teenage boy with powers he never asked for and a responsibility he’s too young to take on or even understand. I’m excited for his conversation with the righteous Fakesaw Man. On the other hand, the real Fami and the other Chainsaw Man dupe might also attack Denji and Asa soon.
