The duo’s partnership makes quick work out of Hase.
There are few things cooler than seeing nerds take down a bully, and the latest chapter of the Dandadan manga delivered well. Although Okarun doesn’t have any powers now, he’s far from giving up on fighting for his friends. His quick thinking and Kinta’s imagination created a new weapon with nanoskin, which ultimately defeated Hase.

Dandadan Chapter 190 recap
The issue opens with Hase telling Okarun not to underestimate him and says he’s supposed to be at the bottom of the heap. Okarun points out to Kinta that merging has made them weaker, but the other boy rejects that theory. The next few panels focused on the fight between Kinta, Okarun, and the Yokai-powered Hase. Although Okarun is able to fend off Hase’s attacks, he realises that their nanoskin suit isn’t doing much damage. He asks Kinta if he can make more powerful weapons.
Kinta says it’s not possible because they don’t have enough nanoskin. Okarun points out the detailed face on their robo suit and asks him to simplify it and make weapons. Kinta refuses, saying the robot will lose all its coolness. He says that it’s his passion that inspires him to make things out of his imagination. But soon, their robo suit is kicked into the air by Hase. The boy then uses the circular blades on his leg to slash through the nanoskin suit, yelling how standing up to him gives him the creeps. As the suit breaks apart, Okarun has a flashback.
His mind goes back to the days before meeting Momo, when Hase and his group bullied him for liking aliens. In the present, Okarun clings to Hase’s waist and keeps telling him that even the USA government has acknowledged the existence of aliens. This means it’s Hase who’s wrong and should be embarrassed. Kinta then transforms the nanoskin into a flying device with clamps holding on to Hase’s legs. With his legs rendered unusable, Kinta and Okarun easily slam him onto the ground from high up. Kinta said that merging made them stronger. We see Hase in his human form lying unconscious on the ground. The alien, who was watching it go down, seemed to be frustrated. Kinta asks Okarun to call him Colonel.
Dandadan Chapter 190 review
I love the action-forward chapters of this manga thanks to its amazing art style. Although not much happened in terms of story progression, the way Kinta stuck to his guns about merging with Okarun is really admirable. I didn’t expect such a cool fight when neither Kinta nor Okarun have any supernatural powers, but my two favourite nerds proved me wrong. Unfortunately, this is not the end and the alien is still looking for her chance to attack. I’m also looking forward to seeing what Aira, Kouki, and Rin do with the creepy teacher. But the fact that it’s been so many chapters since I saw Momo is making me anxious. Hopefully we’ll get an update about their group soon!
