Mobile Suit Gundam Eight has been confirmed by Gundam Ace magazine as a new manga in the franchise.
Gundam Ace Magazine has confirmed that Mobile Suit Gundam Eight is set to debut in their August issue. Mobile Suit Gundam Eight was a new manga series written by Hajime Kamoshida from Iron-blooded Orphans fame and illustrated by Shuei Takagi, the maker of Code Fairy.
At the heart of the story is Gundam Zilius. Set in the year 2030, the story unfolds in a post-apocalyptic Earth where the remnants of civilisation struggle to rebuild amidst the ruins. The series introduces a new protagonist, whose name is yet to be revealed.

Publication of the manga will begin on Gundam Ace on 26 June, 2025, with plans to release a new High-Grade model kit based on the main Gundam. The kit will make its first public appearance at the 63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show from 14 to 16 May, 2025.
