Takopi’s Original Sin story and other details
The Takopi’s Original Sin manga is written and illustrated by Taizan 5, who first started to publish it as a web manga. It was published in the web platform Shonen Jump+ by Shueisha from December 2021 to March 2022. The manga is pretty short, with only two Tankobon volumes.
The story of Takopi’s Original Sin focuses on a small and pink octopus-like alien who lands on Earth to spread happiness. He finds his ideal subject in Shizuka, a bullied fourth-grader who almost never smiles. She has only one solace, her dog named Chappy. Shizuka names the alien Takopi, who starts to try and make her smile with his gadgets, not understanding the gravity of the situation. But when his attempts result in death and mayhem, Takopi vows to go back in time and make everything right after understanding humanity and himself.
