The English dub for the latest arc will begin airing in March 2025.
The long-ongoing One Piece anime has just shared some really exciting news for the fans. The Egghead Island arc, which came out last year, will finally release its English-dubbed version. According to a post by the official Toei Animation X (formerly Twitter) account, the new episodes will drop on 18 March, 2025.
One Piece will also start another season in April
As fans may already know, the One Piece anime went on a hiatus last year after releasing part 1 of the Egghead Island arc. The anime will come back with Egghead Island arc part 2 on 6 April 2025, and continue the story from where it had left off. Crunchyroll will simulcast the new episodes in various countries outside Japan.
The platform will also release the English dub for episodes 1109-1122 on 18 March 2025. This is also a huge moment for the anime because for the first time, the English dub will catch up with the original. The English dub of One Piece started 18 years ago, and this will mark the first time both the Japanese and English versions had the same number of episodes. The One Piece English-dub voice director Emily Fajardo expressed her excitement about the milestone in an X post.
Based on Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece manga, One Piece is the story of Luffy, a boy who wants to become the king of pirates. As one of the longest-running current manga, it has won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. Those who love the English dub, and wait for new episodes are excited about it finally catching up to the original. You can watch Luffy and his crew’s adventures in Egghead Island on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
