After a successful anime, video games, and several other media, Bakugan is ready to have its big-screen debut.

If you’re a fan of anime, chances are that you’ve heard about Bakugan. And if you’re a fan of Bakugan, then you might have watched the anime, played video games, or owned some of the toys related to the franchise. Well, this is the time to relive your childhood in theatres as Bakugan is all set to receive a live-action movie adaptation directed by none other than Brad Peyton. As per an exclusive news report by Deadline, the Spin Master Corp is developing a full-length Bakugan feature film.

Brad Peyton, known for directing blockbusters such as San Andreas and Atlas, is directing, producing, and writing the movie. Although no other details have been revealed so far, we know that Brad Peyton and Lindsay Herbert will work together with Spin Master Entertainment on the script of this film. Peyton said, “Bakugan is ready for the film treatment, and I’m thrilled to be the one to bring it to the big screen for the very first time.” He is confident that the project will bring global exposure to the unique and beautiful world of Bakugan.

The Bakugan franchise first launched in 2007 with an anime series. From there, it grew massively, and now includes video games, card games, a toy line and much more.

The story of Bakugan Battle Brawlers anime revolves around Dan Kuso, who finds some mysterious cards one day. With his friends, Dan develops a game from the cards he receives and calls them Bakugan. However, things change when Dan and his friends are taken to the home planet of the Bakugan to fight in a war. There are many children and adults who are still massive fans of the series, and they are of course happy to see the series be brought to life on the big screen.
