My Hero Academia: Vigilantes story and other details
Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, the manga is a spin-off of the globally acclaimed manga series My Hero Academia by Kōhei Horikoshi. The series first started publishing in 2016 and has a total of 15 tankōbon volumes. The story takes place five years before the original series.
It follows Koichi Himawari, a young man who wants to help people. Unfortunately, he’s not a licensed hero, but that doesn’t stop him from donning on a costume and helping as many as he can. One day, he and Kazuho Haneyama, a street performer known as Pop Step, are attacked. They are saved by the masked vigilante hero Knuckleduster. The two of them start training under Knuckleduster to become the heroes people deserve.
