The anime has also revealed a new teaser visual of the protagonist.
Based on Umikaze Minamino’s light novel series, the Kunon the Sorcerer Can See anime has just confirmed its main cast. The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series have revealed two new voice actors. Unfortunately, the release window or other production details of the series have not been confirmed as of yet.
Kunon the Sorcerer Can See cast and staff details
The two main cast members of the anime are:
- Kunon Gurion voiced by Saori Hayami (Yor Forger in Spy x Family and Himawari Uzumaki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations)
- Iko Round voiced by Maaya Uchida (Seika Ijichi in Bocchi the Rock! and Angel Devil in Chainsaw Man)
Both of the voice actors will be present at the AnimeJapan 2025 stage event on 23 March, 2025. It’s likely that more details about the anime will be revealed then. As of now, no production of staff details have been announced.
Kunon the Sorcerer Can See story and other details
Written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha, the Kunon the Sorcerer Can See (Majutsu-shi Kunon wa Mieteiru) novel series started serialising in 2021. A manga adaptation by La-na began in 2022. Yen Press publishes the official English version of the light novels.
Born blind, Kunon wants to use his water powers to bring back his vision. Within a short time, the prodigious sorcerer passes even his teacher in skills. He can see colours, conjure small items, and even a cat with his incredible magic. After hearing of his prowess, Kunon is asked to become a disciple of the greatest magician in the country. But can Kunon actually get his eyes back with magic?
