Sakamoto Days has to be one of the most anticipated action anime series of 2025. Based on Yuto Suzuki’s manga of the same name, the anime has been pretty controversial so far, with some people loving it and others bashing its animation. However, the story has progressed nicely so far, and many interesting and dangerous characters have been revealed. Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu are ready to face their enemies.

Episode 1: The Legendary Hitman
Viewers are introduced to Sakamoto, a legendary former hitman who left a life of crime behind for his wife and daughter. Despite being a convenience store owner now, Sakamoto still gets assassins who want to kill him. Shin, a telepath and Sakamoto’s former lackey comes to assassinate him but changes his mind.
Episode 2: Vs. Son Hee and Bacho
Sakamoto and Shin meet a young girl named Lu Shaotang, the daughter of a notorious mafia family who’s running away from the enemies who killed her entire clan. After fighting two sadistic assassin brothers Bacho and Son Hee, Sakamoto deals with Lu’s enemies and welcomes her into their family and store.
Episode 3: Welcome to Sugar Park
Sakamoto’s old friend Nagumo makes his appearance, shocking both Shin and Lu. We learn that there’s a large bounty on the protagonist’s head. As the Sakamoto family heads to a theme park, Lu and Shin take it upon themselves to protect them. But the enemy that attacks might be too much for the young telepath.
Episode 4: Hard-Boiled
Sakamoto’s old classmate Boiled and his partner Obiguro appear at the theme park to kill the protagonist. A drunk Lu has to take on Obiguro while Boiled uses his handy bombs to defeat Sakamoto. But the protagonist suddenly loses all his fat and goes back to his old body.
Episode 5: Source of Strength
Sakamoto defeats Boiled and they leave. Nagumo and the other Order members receive instructions to take care of a group who are indiscriminately killing assassins. When Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu go to the headquarters of Boiled and Obiguro’s agency, they find a horrifying scene waiting for them.
Episode 6: Heisuke Mashimo
A broke sniper called Heisuke targets Taro Sakamoto, but fails to recognize him. He enters the same paintball competition with Sakamoto and Shin and the three of them team up. However, after learning Sakamoto's true identity, Heisuke tries to assassinate them with the help of his pet bird Piisuke. His amazing aiming skill surprise Sakamoto.
