If you are a fan of football, then you might already know about the popular football manga Ao Ashi, written by Yuugo Kobayashi. Not only is Ao Ashi touted as one of the best sports manga of recent years, but its anime adaptation has also become a massive hit amongst football fans. After the success of Ao Ashi, the mangaka ventured into the culinary world with Fermat no Ryori in 2018, which will receive its anime adaptation soon.
Fermat no Ryori, also known as Fermat’s Cuisine, follows a guy named Kitada Gaku who is a Math prodigy. However, when his dream is crushed due to some unfortunate circumstances, Gaku meets the culinary world’s young prodigy, Asakura Kai. Kai invites Gaku to join his catering business and asks him to use his mathematician’s skills to improve their cooking. However, the duo is soon faced with some tough challenges.
The author posted art on the anime’s new X (formerly Twitter) account to celebrate the news. Even though there are no more details available for the upcoming project as of yet, fans can start reading the manga to get a feel for what the anime will be about. The series previously received a live-action adaptation in 2023, called Fermat’s Cuisine, which is available to watch on Netflix. Fumiya Takahashi and Jun Shison portrayed Gaku and Kai in the show, which received a lot of positive feedback. You can watch Kobayashi’s Ao Ashi anime on Crunchyroll.
