The platform includes in-app currency with which you can access the manga chapters.
The ONE PIECE BASE app by Bandai Namco has officially launched its English version. This gives the fans of Eiichiro Oda’s manga a new way to read all chapters of the manga together on one platform. With more than 1000 chapters already available to read, this is pretty great news for English-speaking fans. However, the platform requires you to purchase in-app coins to read the manga chapters, much like other manga platforms.
The official Eiichiro Oda staff X (formerly Twitter) account announced the English version of the ONE PIECE BASE app. Some of the manga arcs are free to read on the app. Moreover, the platform also has a portrait generator which turns any of your pictures into an Eiichiro Oda-style artwork using AI. For a limited time, fans can also get the ‘Portrait Generator Conversion Tickets (Demo)’ as a gift once they download and join the app. The app is available on both Android and iOS to download.
Previously, there was some controversy about the portrait generator feature on the app. In an interview, Oda said that when the app first launched, he jokingly asked whether it can also transform photos into erotic pictures. This statement caused some problems in the fandom, with many calling it perverted. The feature to turn your picture into an Oda-style portrait is still available on the app and fans can try it right now for free.
