Luffy, Nami, and Zoro meet Mountain-Eater Scopper Gaban in Elbaph.
Rodo takes the three Straw Hat pirates inside the busted-up castle’s throne room in the latest chapter of Eiichiro Oda’s manga. After finding the magic circle that Shamrock and his companion used, they meet an old man who Rodo introduces as Mr. Ya. We learn that Mr. Ya is a former pirate and also the man who fathered Colon with the giant Ripley. The man tries to stop Luffy from freeing Loki, but fails, and remembers a time when another legendary pirate did the same. With the help of Rodo, he finds the key to Loki’s chains, but then challenges Luffy for it.

Zoro asks if they can even find the key in this massive castle and Rodo answers that the only people who might know where it is are Jarul and the other elders. In the throne room, the group finds a massive magical circle that’s used in summoning. This is the same circle that Shamrock and Gunko used, but Luffy and the others don’t know that. Suddenly, someone calls the name of Straw Hat Luffy. Scared, Rodo tries to run away, but the man stops him by throwing an axe in front of him.
Rodo finally recognises the newcomer who’s sitting on top of a pillar. He introduces him as Mr. Ya, a former pirate who now lives in Elbaph. He’s also the mysterious man whose silhouette we had seen before. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami learn that he’s the man who impregnated the giant named Ripley and fathered Colon. Despite being younger than Ripley, who’s 80 in human years, Mr. Ya looks much older than her since giants age very slowly. Mr. Ya says that he’s a preacher of love and believes that love should be free no matter what the species. When Luffy suddenly says that he wants to find Loki’s keys and free him, Mr. Ya laughs and says he loves causing other people trouble too.

The old man asks what Luffy will do if Loki starts destroying everything once freed. The pirate says that he will beat the giant up and chain him again. Mr. Ya tries to remind him that before Shanks showed up, nobody was able to control Loki, but Luffy decides to ignore him and start looking for the key again. Suddenly, the old man remembers another such hot-blooded pirate, likely Gol D Roger, fighting with him and Silvers Rayleigh about dangerous missions. He smiles and orders Rodo to go to the throne and push it.
Elsewhere, some giants tell Usopp about a man from Captain Gol D Roger’s crew who killed hundreds of enemies on a mountaintop with his two axes. Since his attacks also cut down all the trees on the mountain, he is called Mountain Eater and was Captain Roger’s left-hand man. At the castle, Rodo discovers a hidden treasure room under the throne, but it turns out that robbers have already taken everything there. The only thing which remains is a key, which can free Loki. The giants tell Usopp that the Mountain Eater has been in Elbaph for the past 20 years. In the castle, we see the old man telling Luffy to take the key from him if he can. From his axes, we recognise him as Mountain Eater and Gol D Roger’s left-hand man- Scopper Gaban.
