ZOMBIE LAND SAGA movie unveils 24 October release date

The movie is titled ZOMBIE LAND SAGA: Yumeginga Paradise.

The ZOMBIE LAND SAGA anime series truly has an unique premise that works extremely well, and after two successful seasons, MAPPA is bringing back their original anime as a movie. 

The latest trailer of the film revealed that it will premiere in Japanese theaters on 24 October, 2025. Advance tickets will go on sale on 2 May, 2025. You can check out the official website of the ZOMBIE LAND SAGA movie to learn more.

The members of the core zombie idol group Franchouchou are voiced by:

  • Sakura Minamoto voiced by Kaede Hondo (Rin Fujishiro in A Sign of Affection, Vegapunk Atlas in One Piece)
  • Saki Nikaido voiced by Asami Tano (Amphisbaena in Durarara!! x2, Ferrill Ōkami in Seton Academy: Join the Pack!)
  • Ai Mizuno voiced by Risa Taneda (Yukari Hinata in Yuyushiki, Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April)
  • Junko Konno voiced by Maki Kawase (Hana Ichijō in Aoashi, Shima Iwashita in Bocchi the Rock!)
  • Yugiri voiced by Rika Kinugawa (Takako Chino in Orange, Ruka Bando in Seton Academy: Join the Pack! )
  • Lily Hoshikawa voiced by Minami Tanaka (Mary Satome in Kakegurui, Nina in Nina the Starry Bride)

The producer Kotaro Tasumi is voiced by Mamoru Miyano (Light Yagami in Death Note, Atsumu Miya in Haikyu!!)

Produced by MAPPA, the first anime season of ZOMBIE LAND SAGA came out in 2018. It was followed by the second season, subtitled REVENGE, in 2021. After four years, the franchise is coming back to the screens with a new project, and fans are excited about it. The first manga adaptation of the anime by Megumu Soramichi started in 2018. A second spin-off manga focusing on Tae Yamada’s past started in 2021 and ended in 2022. It was illustrated by Kasumi Fukagawa.

Sakura Minamoto died back in 2008 in a freak truck accident right before she was set to submit her idol application. Ten years later, Sakura and six other legendary girls from different eras in Japan are brought back by a producer as zombies. His goal? To revitalise the falling Saga Prefecture with the help of an all-girls zombie idol group made up of these seven girls. But as they start performing, the group Franchouchou learns that everything is not as it seems.
