A brand new trailer and teaser for the third season of the anime has also been revealed.
Based on the popular mobile game, the Arknights anime is finally coming back with its third season this year. The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the franchise recently announced that the show, titled Arknights: Rise from Ember, will air on 4 July, 2025. Some other details about the anime have also been revealed in the recent trailer, including voice actors, opening theme, and ending theme.
Arknights: Rise from Ember cast and staff details
The majority of the cast members are returning for the third season of the anime, while two new voice actors are joining the cast this season. They are:
- Theresa voiced by Yūka Nanri (Saori Chiba in Wandering Son, Ritsuko Mukae in Sakamichi no Apollon)
- Arena voiced by Aya Uchida (Parona in To Your Eternity, Asuka Kawato in The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses)
Produced by Yostar Pictures, the series will be directed by Yuki Watanabe once again. Masaki Nishikawa and Shintaro Doge are the assistant directors. Aya Takafuji is in charge of character designing while Yuki Hayashi is composing the music. The opening theme of Arknights: Rise from Ember is ‘End of Days’ by RoeNa. The ending theme song ‘Truth’ is performed by Hana Itoki.
Based on Hypergraph’s original Arknights game, a short anime video titled Holy Knight Light came out back in 2020. Produced by Yostar Pictures, the first season of the anime, titled Prelude to Dawn, came out in 2022. It was followed by the second season, Perish in Frost, in 2023. The first and second seasons of the anime are airing on Crunchyroll, who describe the story as:
“In the wake of unknown Catastrophes in the heart of Terra, a mineral of unimaginable power has been discovered. With it, society's technology has made huge leaps and bounds, but the substance causes a deadly incurable disease, leading to a worldwide enslavement of the infected. As a rebellion is now on the rise, a pharmaceutical company races for a cure to save humanity.”
