The short animated series “Toi-San” is being adapted into an animated film.
In an official press release on PR Times, STPR Inc. has announced that the popular short animated video series created by affiliated creator Jel (of Strawberry Prince) “Toi-San” will be adapted into an anime film, set for release in Summer 2025 in Japanese cinemas nationwide.
Toi-San is a comedy series that gained a massive following since it was first released in 2019, with its accumulated views exceeding 10 billion on platforms like Youtube and Tiktok. Toi-San generally focuses on comedic stories written, animated, and even voiced by its creator Jel, and is a parody of a standard Otome game.
Toi-San will be produced by STPR Inc. in collaboration with Dentsu Inc., while planning and general production will be headed by Nanamori, who worked on the movie “Strawberry Prince: The Beginning - Strawberry School Festival!!!" Additional staff and cast are yet to be revealed. Shochiku co.,Ltd. is cited as the official distributor of the upcoming movie, while creator Jel was revealed to have worked on the project behind the scenes.
Jel is a member of the 2.5 dimensional idol group “Strawberry Prince,” and is in charge of the color orange. Jel has amassed a massive following with his comedic charm and propensity for entertainment, and has participated in a number of activities like livestreaming, writing and composing original songs, performing live, and writing short stories.
