Crunchyroll has delayed the English dub releases of a number of anime titles due to inclement weather.
In an official statement to X (formerly Twitter) account on 11 January, Crunchyroll has cited severe weather as the cause of English dub release delays on a number of anime titles. The titles affected are:
- Blue Lock Season 2 episode 11
- MF Ghost Season 2 episodes 11 and 12
- Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 7 episodes 11 and 12
- Arifureta Season 3 episodes 10 and 11
- You are Ms. Servant episodes 11 and 12
- Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episodes 23 and 25
- I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History episodes 12 and 13
- Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 episodes 10, 11, 12
- The Prince of Teniss IIU-17 World Cup Semifinal episode 12
- Demon Lord 2099 episodes 11-12
- Trillion Game episodes 13, 14, 15
According to a report by AP News, a powerful winter storm befell the Southern United States last friday and over the weekend, which led to flight cancellations, school and business closures, power outages, and disruption of travel.
Notably, Crunchyroll’s main in-house dubbing studio is based in Coppell, Texas, one of the states heavily affected by the winter storm. Although major roads are clear and the weather is calming down in some parts of Southern US, there have been no further announcements from Crunchyroll regarding the updated release schedule of these delayed episodes at the time of writing.
