The Tougen Anki anime adaptation is giving Indonesian fans a first look!
Pony Canyon, the distributor behind the upcoming Tougen Anki anime, has revealed that the first episode is set to premiere at Anime Festival Asia’s Indonesia leg. The event is touted to be Southeast Asia’s biggest pop culture event.
The news was revealed through Pony Canyon’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Tougen Anki to give Indonesian fans a first look into the anime’s debut episode
The world premiere screening of Tougen Anki’s first episode will occur during the Day Stage of AFA Indonesia 2025, and will be followed by a talk session with voice actor Kazuki Ura and producer Takanori Matsuoka.
AFA Indonesia 2025 will take place at Jakarta Convention Center from 6 June to 8 June 2025, with more details available at AFA’s official website.
Tougen Anki is set to release in July 2025, although no set date has been revealed as of yet. The anime was first announced in January, and will be produced by Studio Hibari, with Ato Nonaka slated as director. Hiroyuki Hashimoto is assistant director, with series composition and screenplay by Yukie Sugawara. Ryoko Amisaki handles character design, with art direction headed by Scott Macdonald.

The Tougen Anki anime is an adaptation of Yura Urushibara’s popular shounen action series, Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood. The manga has been serialised in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion since June 2020, with Yen Press handling English licensing. As of April 2025, the series has a total of 23 tankobon volumes in circulation.
