Studio Eclypse, known for releasing fan works based on popular anime, posted a stunning teaser video for their Attack on Titan project that has gotten fans excited for what’s to come.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Studio Eclypse released the trailer for their fan-made Attack on Titan project, titled ‘Attack on Titan: Requiem.’ The full episode is set to be released on January 15, 2025.
The short preview video for Attack on Titan: Requiem came out last year, with the project being first announced in 2023, along with another trailer. People have been waiting a long time for the release, but was pushed back from Fall 2024 to Winter 2025. The episode will be based on the doujinshi of the same name which offers an alternate ending to Hajime Isayama’s original manga.
This is not the first time Studio Eclypse has announced a project based on popular anime titles. In 2023, the fan-made animation production company revealed that they were working on a fan anime project based on Kentaro Miura’s cult classic Seinen series Berserk, which they called ‘Berserk: The Black Swordsman.’ However, the project has been delayed indefinitely due to the Berserk anime production house Studio Gaga taking a public stance against any content related to Kentaro Miura’s manga and the corresponding anime.
Luckily for those looking forward to Berserk's fan anime, there is no recent news about the project being delayed further. Moreover, Studio Eclypse also told fans to wait for The Black Swordsman project as they will make some announcements about it in the upcoming months. The production house is probably ironing out the legal wrinkles that forced them to shelf the project in 2023. Not only will the fans receive a new take on the AoT franchise, which ended in 2023, but also Berserk, which aired its last season in 2017.
