The latest illustration features the central characters of the anime: Aqua and Ruby.

After an admittedly disappointing end to Aka Akasaka’s popular manga Oshi no Ko last year, fans were quite heartbroken. However, they now finally have some good news. The Oshi no Ko anime, which had catapulted the series into the mainstream, is coming back with a brand new season. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime posted a new visual featuring Aqua and Ruby and announced that the show is making a comeback in 2026.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet know in which broadcasting season or in which month the show will be back since the announcement only mentioned the year. It seems that the third season of Oshi no Ko is already under production, which is great news for fans. A short teaser video was also revealed, featuring Ruby and what her role might be this season. Additionally, the new illustration shows Aqua and Ruby standing in front of a background with studio cameras facing them.

This means the upcoming season will likely cover the Mainstay, Scandal, and Movie arcs of the manga. The anime adaptation will likely begin from chapter 81 of the series. The previous season animated the 2.5D Stage Play (or Tokyo Blade) arc and the Private arc.

Previously, we saw Aqua and his acquaintances put on an amazing performance in the Tokyo Blade stage play. Although Aqua now thinks that his and Ruby’s father, and the man behind their mother Ai’s murder, is dead, it’s not the reality. As the story progresses, we will see more and more of the mystery unveiled. Aqua, with the help of Akane, will come up with another plan to incriminate the man who killed Ai.

The audience is eagerly waiting to see how the anime handles the crucial plot points of the upcoming arcs on screen. Much like the previous ones, this season of the anime is also being produced by Doga Kobo, with the actors returning to resume their roles. Keep an eye on our website as we’ll keep you updated when new details about the anime are revealed.
