The second season of the popular anime 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess has already been announced! As per the latest news, season 2 will air sometime in January 2026. Although a definitive release date is yet to be revealed, fans can expect it to come out earlier in the month in accordance with the Winter 2026 schedule.

The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime revealed a visual for the Princess and the new character Sakura Heartrock, voiced by Mutsumi Tamura (Vegapunk York in One Piece, Kobayashi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid). Sakura will appear in season 2 of the series for the first time. Just like the first season, the sequel will also stream worldwide on Crunchyroll.
Based on the manga series of the same name by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei, 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess anime is produced by Pine Jam. Yoko Kanamori directed the show while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu wrote the scripts. Toshiya Kono was the character designer Masaru Yokoyama composed the music. The show was well-received for its unique premise and comedic elements.
The story of 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess takes place during a war between the Imperial Army of the humans and the Hell Hordes of the Demons. The Princess from the Imperial Army gets captured by the enemies. But as torture methods are banned, the inquisitor known as Torture Tortura comes up with unique ways to get the Princess to talk. This mostly comes in the form of goading her with delectable Japanese food and snacks. Despite her sword Excalibur’s efforts, the Princess gives away some information every time food is involved. Thankfully, they’re not very important in nature.
