The episode begins with two assassins by the name of Boiled and Obiguro arriving at the amusement park to kill Sakamoto. Boiled is an honourable man who is very loud and obsessed with being ‘hard-boiled’. Despite this, Obiguro seems to have a massive crush on him, although she hides it. Elsewhere, Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu tie up the assassin who poisoned Shin and use the antidote on him. When Sakamoto’s wife and daughter arrive, the group leaves to get lunch. After they leave, the assassin, whose name is Tatsu, is confronted by Boiled and Obiguro. Unfortunately, the antidote seems to be messing with Shin’s ability to read minds, and he suggests they all go back. But at the insistence of Aoi and Hana, the family continues their fun day. The group is mostly fine as they’re in a crowded place.
But at the end of the day, Hana and Aoi insist on going into the haunted house, which is a prime location for assassins to attack. Inside the building, we see Boiled and Obiguro keeping an eye on Sakamoto’s family. Boiled tells his partner about how he and Sakamoto used to be classmates in the JCC assassin academy. He had thought Sakamoto and he were two peas in a pod as they were both brilliant and lonely. However, after Sakamoto received a lot of chocolates from girls on Valentine’s Day and said he didn’t know Boiled when Nagumo asked who he was, the assassin’s heart was broken. But when Obiguro asks whether he wants to settle their score, Boiled acts as if it doesn’t bother him at all.

If you know Sakamoto Days, you will know that every assassin in the story has a special weapon or style that they use to fight. For Boiled, it’s the tiny ball-shaped bombs he makes that he shoots out of a gear he wears on his hands. In the haunted house, Boiled and Obiguro successfully distract Sakamoto and his employees to kidnap Hana and Aoi. Lu, who started drinking alcohol to keep her nerves at bay in the haunted house, becomes too intoxicated. Sakamoto tries to run after the kidnappers but is stopped by Boiled. Thankfully, Shin and Lu find the room where Aoi and Hana are kept, but Obiguro is there to confront them.
Boiled asks Sakamoto if he remembers who he is, but the protagonist says he doesn’t recall anything. The two start fighting, and Boiled overwhelms Sakamoto, who has been out of the profession for five years. Inside the room, Lu attacks Obiguro and starts acting drunk. The assassin threatens to take Shin’s life if she doesn’t fight properly, making Lu cry. After defeating him, Boiled says that Sakamoto has changed a lot and tries to leave. However, Sakamoto suddenly moves and starts reciting the formula of the bombs that Boiled uses. As the episode ends, we see that after suffering from all the explosions, Sakamoto has somehow lost all the extra weight and looks like he used to before he got married.

The action in the 4th episode was intense and enjoyable, thanks to the new and innovative weapon that Boiled uses. Fans are also excited to see what Sakamoto does next now that he’s slim again. On the other hand, Lu will have to take on Obiguro alone since Shin has been captured by the other assassins. The next episode of Sakamoto Days will be released on Saturday, February 8, 2025, on Netflix.
