Original anime Apocalypse Hotel reveals April release date

Only the protagonist's voice actor has been revealed as of now.

The post-apocalyptic sci-fi anime Apocalypse Hotel finally announced its release date. The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the project revealed in a post that the series will begin airing on 8 April, 2025. It will first air on NTV, and later stream on ABEMA, Animate Times, and Lemino in Japan. Previously, the anime had revealed a short trailer and the protagonist's VA. Moreover, the anime is getting a spin-off manga adaptation by Takemoto, which will be published in Takeshobo’s Storia Dash manga website in April.

Apocalypse Hotel is an original anime series produced by CyberAgent and animated by Cygames Pictures. The series is being directed by Kana Shundo with Shigeru Murakoshi writing the script. Izumi Takemoto is the original character designer and Natsuki Yokoyama is designing the characters for the anime. Yoshiaki Fujisawa is in charge of composing the music. 

The opening theme of the anime is Skirt while the ending theme is Capsule, both performed by Aiko. The protagonist of the anime, Yachiyo, is voiced by Saho Shirasu (Rusalka in Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill and Mio Kofune in Summer Time Rendering).

The story of Apocalypse Hotel takes place in the distant future when humanity has completely abandoned earth. The Galaxy Tower Hotel in Ginza, Tokyo still functions. A robot hotelier named Yachiyo manages a whole staff of robot employees that perfectly maintain the hotel, waiting for their human owners to return. After many years of waiting, a small miracle takes place that might change Yachiyo and the rest of the robots’ existence forever.
