The anime series will air in July 2025.
Ever since The White Mage anime adaptation was announced in 2024, fans have eagerly awaited more updates. Finally, after more than six months of anticipation, a brand-new trailer for the series has been released on the anime's official YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) accounts. The official website of the series also details the project's staff and cast. Most notably, the announcement confirmed that the show will premiere in July 2025, aligning with the Summer anime season.
Along with the new trailer, the anime has also revealed a new teaser visual. The illustration features the five characters whose VAs have been announced. The cast members for the series are:
- Gakuto Kajiwara (Asta in Black Clover and Yu Haibara in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Lloyd
- Rina Hidaka (Silica in Sword Art Online and Emul in Shangri-la Frontier) as Yui
- Haruka Shiraishi (Momo Momosaki in Play it Cool, Guys and Wendy Satō in High Card) as Silica
- Daisuke Hirose (Taichirou Anima in Good Night World and Tsukasa Tenma in Journey to Bloom) as Cross
- Yūichirō Umehara (Azure in Nina the Starry Bride and Jugram Haschwalt in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) as Daggers
The upcoming anime series is being produced by Felix Film with Hiroshi Tamada as the director. Inari Akihiko is in charge of the series composition with Yuuta Ito designing the characters. Also known as The White Mage Exiled From The Hero's Party Is Picked up by an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage is Too Out of the Ordinary!, the anime is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Sora Suigetsu and illustrated by DeeCHA. Set in a fantasy world, the story follows the protagonist Lloyd, who is kicked out of the hero’s party. He eventually joins an S-Rank party where his support magic becomes incredibly useful. After being humiliated by the hero’s party, it’s Lloyd’s time to turn his life around.
