The prequel manga series concluded back in 2022.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes has been the talk of the town as it’s one of the most hyped anime series to release this season. The show is based on the manga series of the same name by Hideyuki Furuhashi—which in turn is a spin-off of Kohei Horikoshi’s original My Hero Academia series. Just as new episodes of the Vigilantes anime are coming out, it was announced that an extra chapter of the manga will also be released.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes extra chapter details
Unfortunately, not much is known about this alleged special chapter other than the fact that it’s coming out on Tuesday, 15 April, 2025, on the Shonen Jump+ app. Since the original story of the Vigilantes manga concluded in 2022, it’s likely that this will be an epilogue chapter. The original My Hero Academia also came to an end last year—so it won’t be surprising if the author somehow blends the two series in an emotional update. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait for the release to know more details.
The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga is a prequel to the original MHA series. It revolves around Koichi Haimawari, a normal man who tries to help people with his quirk despite not being a hero. Much like Izuku Midoriya, Haimawari is also a big fan of All Might. He teams up with his friend Pop Step, and a quirkless vigilante hero Knuckleduster to reduce crime in their town. The first episode of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was a massive hit and fans can’t wait for more.
