Fairouz Ai is one of the most popular and talented voice actresses in the anime industry right now. However, on 31 March, 2025, she left her old agency Racoon Dog and joined Mausu Promotion on 1 April, 2025. The seiyū also announced that she would be returning to work as per usual, following her doctors’ orders. She had limited her voice acting activities due to health complications in December 2024.
What happened to Fairouz Ai?
Fairouz Ai had put a pause on her career on 31 December, 2025, after being diagnosed with PTSD. Although she didn’t disclose details of her condition, she revealed in her latest X (formerly Twitter) post that she has been cleared by her medical team to return to work. She resumed her activities on 1 April, 2025. She also thanked her fans for the unconditional support and encouragement. The warm letters and messages sent by her fans provided a pillar of strength during the tumultuous time.
The voice actress also apologised for making everyone worry, but stated that she needs to start fresh in a new environment. She asked her fans to continue to support her through her career. People who were concerned about her health after her three-month long hiatus are now glad to see her back on the field again.
Additionally, Fairouz Ai recently posted about the new anime Catch Me at the Ballpark!, in which she voices Ruriko. The series premiered on 1 April, 2025.
Fairouz Ai rose to fame for her role as Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: Stone Ocean and Power in Chainsaw Man. She also voiced beloved characters such as Kikoru Shinomiya in Kaiju No. 8 and Panzy in Dragon Ball Daima. Although she paused her activities for the first quarter of 2025, the VA is back in full swing with multiple roles lined up for 2025. Other than Ruriko in Catch Me at the Ballpark! she will also voice Ayame Momochi in I'm Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!?, Kana Higa in Okitsura: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Knew What She's Saying, and Miko Yashiro in This Monster Wants to Eat Me.
