The Chainsaw Man anime is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga series of the same name. It follows Denji, an extremely poor orphaned 16-year-old who sells his body parts and works odd jobs with his friendly Chainsaw Devil Pochita to pay off his father’s debts to the yakuza. One day, when people try to kill him, Pochita fuses himself with Denji to save his life. This causes Denji to turn into Chainsaw Man and kill the yakuza members. However, when the Public Safety Division asks him to join them as a Devil Hunter, his life changes forever. The movie will cover the manga’s Reze Arc, where Denji meets a beautiful woman named Reze who isn’t what she seems.
