Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2 was one of the Winter 2025 anime season’s most anticipated titles, and it didn’t disappoint. The supernatural horror comedy series featuring a wish-granting ghost and a girl who has limited time won the hearts of the audience again. The final episode of the second season came out on Sunday, 30 March, 2025. On the same day, a July 2025 sequel anime series was announced.
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun will return with another season
According to the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series, a sequel TV anime will air sometime in July 2025. Although there’s no definitive release date for it yet, new episodes will come out every Sunday, much like season 1 and 2 of the anime. AidaIro, the author of the Toilet-bound Hanako-kun manga, drew a commemorative illustration and thanked everyone for such a show of support and love.
Based on AidaIro’s manga, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun follows Hanako, the Seventh Wonder of Kamome Academy, a ghost who can grant wishes for a price. One day, when a student named Nene asks him to grant her wish, their fates become intertwined in a way that they can’t fathom. With ghosts, supernatural beings, and powerful curses, the series is thoroughly entertaining and received great praise for both Seasons 1 and 2. Since Season 2 came out almost five years after Season 1 aired in 2020, fans are glad that they won’t have to wait for the next season for so long.
