Electronics brand Panasonic has released an original anime, "The Land of NOMO", for its Expo 2025 Pavilion.
Panasonic, the renown electronics brand from Japan, is also apparently making anime now as it has released “The Land of NOMO” for its Expo 2025 Pavilion in Osaka, Japan. Monofilmo Inc. created the animation and Panasonic Visuals produced the anime. The original anime ties into Panasonic's The Land of NOMO pavilion, which is described as “an experiential pavilion that uses technologies based on Panasonic Group‘s long-standing research on ‘Human Insight’ to stimulate children’s senses and unleash their imaginative power.”
The Land of NOMO anime original features several renown voice actresses such as Kana Ichinose, Megumi Han, and Aoi Yuki, who starred as the anime's main characters: Sora, Daichi, and Rococo, respectively. Sakurako Ohara sang the anime’s theme song “Yume Wa Tsubasa”, while Hiroaki Kubo came up with the original story.
Here is the entirety of the original anime, posted in the Panasonic YouTube Channel:
The Land of NOMO, as described on the official website, is a mysterious land that mirrors how you think and feel. At the Expo 2025, Panasonic describe the place as a place where children — leaders of the next generation — can be freed from preconceived ideas and assumptions to “unlock” their hidden power and potential through the use of “human understanding” research and “spatial production” technology.
The name “The Land of NOMO” is based on the idea that “how you perceive something changes considerably based on your mindset” and that “minds and objects are like mirrors." The Pavilion is divided into four zones: Deep within the Mirror Pond, NOMO Forest, The Valley of Ancient Trees, and Into the Wide Open Sky.
The Land of NOMO can be visited at Yumeshima, Osaka in Expo 2025.
