Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 now in production

The news came after the final episode of Season 3.

Re:ZERO fans got great news on Wednesday, 26 March, as the final episode for Season 3 came to an end. This time around, they won’t have to wait another four years for the next installment to the anime, as Season 4 is now confirmed to be in production!

The news was announced after Season 3’s finale episode, Episode 16 “The Result of the Battle for Priestella”.

Re:ZERO anime confirms Season 4

The announcement, which was also made on Re:ZERO’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, came with a special video, teaser visual, comments from the voice actors, and a celebratory illustration commemorating the event.

Season 4 is set to introduce a new adventure for Subaru and Emilia, with fans speculating that it will cover Arc 7 and 8 of the light novel series, which are “The Stars That Engrave History” and “The Corridor of Memories.”

Season 3, which came four years after Season 2, follows Subaru and Emilia one year after the events at the Sanctuary, as they arrive in the Watergate City of Priestella, where conflict due to fanatical motivations await them. The season was separated into two cours, “Attack Arc”, and the “Counterattack Arc.”

Considering that it is now in production, there's a likely chance that fans can jump right back in to Subaru and Emilia's adventures in 2026. Although we'll have to wait on further announcements to confirm Season 4's broadcast window.

Voice actors celebrate the news

Rie Takahashi, who voices Emilia, left a comment celebrating the news of Season 4. The machine translation of which is:

“Although Re:ZERO has been running until the third season, this is actually the first time that a sequel has been announced right after the anime aired…! I think the shock of the final episode will be quite big, but let’s enjoy this reward of an announcement first! Victory!!

Everyone, please continue to keep your Re:ZERO fever going, and don’t forget about him…! Please look forward to it! Once again, thank you so much for your support of Re:ZERO!”

While Yusuke Kobayashi, who voices Subaru, had this to say:

“Did you think we’d have to wait another four years?! We won’t keep you waiting!!

So the fourth season has been decided! Just looking at the teaser visuals brings out all sorts of emotions, with that nostalgic girl there, Subaru not in his jersey, an enemy, and Julius with a sad look on his face. Please look forward to the broadcast to see what the next season will bring!”
