Isagi takes advantage of Ness’ change and scores a goal for his team.
It seems that the final match of the Neo Egoist League, fought between the Bastard München and Paris X Gen, has come to an end. With Isagi’s marvellous goal in the latest chapter of Muneyuki Kenshiro’s manga, it’s pretty clear that Bastard München will win the match. Although Ness’ evolution was satisfactory, Isagi’s powerful display of ego once again broke through everyone’s expectations of him.

Chapter 293, titled ‘Birth of a New Egoist’ begins with the ball going to Alexis Ness. He wonders if he should set up a pass to Kaiser like he always does. But remembering how he humiliated Ness, he decides to change himself. When the ball finally reaches him, Ness says that this is his first rebellion against the Emperor that is Kaiser. He kicks the ball into a drive pass closer to the goal and away from Kaiser. It’s a challenge to the German forward to come and steal the ball if he’s capable enough. Sadly for them, there is someone else who believed in Ness’ ego and its awakening.
As Kaiser looks at the pass disbelievingly while holding Rin back, Isagi runs forward to where the ball is. None of the other players had expected Ness to not pass to Kaiser. However, Isagi, with a brilliant understanding of people’s minds, predicted Ness’ rebellion. With his charisma, he can bring out other players’ egos and exploit them to score goals himself. Rin tries to stop him in the final moment as Isagi changes again. However, it’s too late, and the protagonist kicks the ball into a perfect shot that ends up in the goal post. Rin calls him Blue Lock’s Demon King as Isagi celebrates the goal, making the score 3-2 in Bastard München’s favour.
This chapter proves what type of player Isagi is

There are many genius players in the Blue Lock manga, but none quite like the protagonist himself. Although he lacks in physical capabilities and genetic gifts, he makes up for it with a brain that can keep up with the whole field at once. Isaagi’s playstyle often enrages other players, forcing them to bring out their own ego. Isagi waits for them to do so, and exploits their plays for his own gain. This was perfectly prominent in chapter 293 as he believed in Ness’ ability to rebel against Kaiser and not pass to him. Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s genius shines through in the story as Yusuke Nomura’s art makes it infinitely more enjoyable.
