With You and the Rain is an upcoming slice-of-life series that’s set to release on July 2025
Based on the manga by Ko Nikaido, With You and the Rain is a sweet and comforting story of a woman and her… pet dog? The anime is set to debut in July 2025, although no definite date has been announced as of yet.
The series will be directed by Tomohiro Tsukimisato (How Clumsy You Are, Miss Ueno, Tanuki to Kitsune), with scripts written by Touka Machida (7 Seeds, Farming Life in Another World). The character designs were done by Ayano Owada, who served as animation director for Black Butler: Book of Circus, and Teasing Master Takagi-san season 3. L’ESPRIT will be in charge of animation production.
Saori Hayami, who voices Yor in spy x Family, takes on the role of protagonist Fuji, a female novelist who loves rain. The rest of the cast are as follows:

- Ren - Satomi Sato
- Krause Ella Kii - Yuzu Yumoto
With You and the Rain’s anime adaptation was first announced in August 2024. The manga debuted in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine in 2020, and is still ongoing with seven volumes released thus far.
