Legendary Vtuber Kizuna Ai has announced her return to YouTube streaming with a listening party.
One of the earliest VTubers in the world, Kizuna Ai, has announced her return to streaming on YouTube after undergoing three years of hiatus! Her long-awaited stream is set for 29 April at 9PM JST.
The last time Kizuna AI conducted a live stream was on 26 February, 2022. The last live was a Hello, World 2022 concert dubbed “Kizuna Ai The Last Live,” marking her final stream before entering a long hiatus. During her so-called "sleep,” the channel was live multiple times for her birthday, hosted by Vtubers other than Kizuna AI herself.

Kizuna Ai finally announced her return to activity in February 2025 after she released a music video for kamone. She also uploaded a video explaining what she was doing during the long hiatus and promising a lot more future activity after her return. Kizuna Ai also said that she will focus on making more music with her promise to release at least 10 songs in 2025.
She uploaded her next video on 25 March, 2025, when she released the official visualiser for her song mazaru.
According to the announcement on her social media account, the legendary Vtuber will return with a listening party, full body reveal, and other changes after she moved. The announcement also said there would be a lot of topics that would be shown for the first time.
Kizuna Ai is a Japanese VTuber and one of the most influential figures in the virtual entertainment industry. She debuted on 29 November 2016 with her YouTube channel, A.I.Channel, which quickly gained popularity for its innovative use of a 3D avatar to create engaging content.
Kizuna Ai is often credited as the world's first modern VTuber, setting the foundation for the following phenomenon.
