Unfortunately, not much details are available about the Aoashi anime’s second season as of yet. The news came from the upcoming edition of the Weekly Big Comic Spirits, which announced that season 2 is in production. Fans are happy to learn that the anime is coming back after three years. Keep an eye on our website as we’ll share more updates about the series when they’re announced.

The Aoashi manga began publishing in 2015, in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine. It tells the story of Ashito Aoi, a young boy third year of middle school. His life changes when he meets football coach Tatsuya Fukuda. Although he’s a bit difficult, Ashito is a talented football player. Fukuda invites the boy to join his team, and they start dreaming of changing Japanese football history forever. Yugo Kobayashi’s other popular manga Fermat no Ryōri (Fermat’s Cuisine) is also set to receive an anime adaptation this July.
