The second season will start airing in July 2025.
The popular romcom anime A Couple of Cuckoos, based on Miki Yoshikawa’s manga series, is coming back this year with its second season. The show will air new episodes in July 2025, although a definitive release date is yet to be determined. The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series revealed a new voice cast member, staff, and preview video ahead of the premiere. A teaser visual was also revealed for the new character joining the show.

The new character introduced in the trailer is:
- Ai Mochizuki voiced by Hina Yōmiya (Shinju Inui in My Dress-Up Darling, Minami Kotobuki in Oshi no Ko)
The rest of the cast members are reprising their roles from season 1. This includes:

- Sachi Umino voiced by Konomi Kohara
- Hiro Segawa voiced by Naō Toiyama

Masakazu Hishida (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, Onmyô Taisenki) is the director and writer for the second season. Kyoko Kon (Classroom of the Elite, Delicious Party Pretty Cure: Yumemiru Okosama Lunch!) is the character designer. Rei Ishizuka is composing the music (PriPara, Flavors of Youth) under Imagine. Shin-Ei Animation and Synergy SP are coming back. The ending theme song for A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2 is ‘Anata de Nakucha’ by idol group 22/7.
The story of revolves around Nagi Umino and Erika Amano, who were switched at birth. Not wanting to lose any of their children, their parents mutually agree to get them married. They force Nagi and Erika to live together in a house so that they get to know each other. But when more women start showing an interest in Nagi, things start to change for the two. With Nagi's childhood friend coming back to the country, the situation will only get more complicated.
