The long awaited sequel movie to the Chainsaw Man series is soon to hit Japanese theatres.
During AnimeJapan 2025 day two, it was revealed that the long-awaited Chainsaw Man sequel movie is set to premiere in Japanese theatres this 19 September, 2025. The announcement was paired with an official poster and trailer, which were posted to the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Chainsaw Man - the Movie: Reze Arc movie details
Announced back in 2024 at Jump Festa 2025, Chainsaw Man - the Movie: Reze Arc is a continuation to the 2022 anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular dark fantasy manga, Chainsaw Man.
The movie is set to cover the “Reze arc” of the story, where main character Denji, who is also Chainsaw Man, encounters a mysterious young woman named Reze. As a probable romance begins to form between the two, Denji must grapple with his conflicting feelings, his desire for Makima, and a mysterious and dangerous new devil who is deadset on blowing it all away.
Chainsaw Man - the Movie: Reze Arc is handled by Mappa, who did the first season of the anime series. No second season has been confirmed as of yet.
Chainsaw Man - the Movie: Reze Arc cast and staff
The majority of Season 1's cast are returning to their respective roles in the movie, including Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Ai Fairouz as Power, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa, Karin Takahashi as Kobeni, and Tomori Kusunoki as Makima.
