A concept trailer by studio Soigne has been released.
2025 is truly the year for Yuri anime adaptations. After This Monster Wants to Eat Me and The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t A Guy At All, another popular Yuri comedy manga is being made into an anime. Kamiina Botan, Her Drunken Appearance is Like a Lily by Hey just announced the TV anime adaptation on its official website and X (formerly Twitter) account. A beautiful concept trailer was also released.

Unfortunately, the cast details of the series haven’t been revealed yet. The anime is being produced by studio Soigne. Takashi Sakuma is the director of the project while Shuntarō Tozawa is his assistant director. Kou Yoshinari is character designing while Yusuke Matsuo and Miyachi are handling the main animations. Yoko Yonaiyama is writing the scripts and Kana Hashiguchi is the music composer.
The concept PV which was released features a very interesting and unconventional art style. It almost looks like a moving water colour painting, giving it a soft and flowing vibe which perfectly matches the lightheartedness of the story. The trailer mainly focuses on Botan Kamiina, the main heroine of the series, and all her college friends whom she drinks with. Fans are hoping that the art style of the concept trailer also reflects on the actual anime. The mangaka Hey drew a new illustration to celebrate the news of the anime adaptation.

Written and illustrated by Hey, Kamiina Botan, Her Drunken Appearance is Like a Lily (Kamiina Botan, Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana) is a GL comedy manga. It started serialising in Akita Shoten’s Champion Cross website in 2019. The manga has a total of 5 volumes as of yet.
The story revolves around Boten Kamiina, a 20-year-old college student who has never drunk alcohol in her life. During the welcome party, her dorm leader Ibuki lets her drink highball. This leads to the revelation that she is quite different from her usual self when she’s drunk. She and Ibuki develop a close friendship as things start to get a bit complicated. The teasing drinking GL manga is cute and tranquil in nature.
