Hololive announced that one of its talents, Murasaki Shion, will graduate in April 2025.
On Thursday (6 March), Hololive announced that one of its talent will soon graduate. Specifically, Murasaki Shion from Hololive JP's second generation will graduate on 26 April, 2025. The official statement was made on its website and social media account. In the same post, Hololive expressed gratitude for her contributions, stating she has been an integral part of Hololive for nearly seven years. The statement also acknowledge her for playing a significant role in the growth and success of Hololive Production since its early days.
Hololive also acknowledge that the news might be difficult to fans and everyone involved. The company appreciated and thanked the warm support and kindness fans have shown to Murasaki Shion's journey.
The channel will still allow for fan letter submissions until 25 April, 2025, so long as they arrive by that date. Fan's membership and exclusive member content will still be accessible until 26 July, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM JST.
Murasaki Shion also make a statement regarding her graduation:
As she was a second generation member, Shion has been with Hololive since 2018, making her one of the longest-tenured members of the company. Her graduation marks the second that Hololive has in 2025.
The last time Hololive has a graduation was in December 2024, when the company announced Ceres Fauna's graduation. While the announcement was made in December 2024, the actual graduation took place in January 2025.
Regarding the concerning rate of graduations, Motoaki “YAGOO” Tanigo made a statement addressing the issue on his personal X account:
Murasaki Shion's graduation will take place in 26 April, 2025. All of her fans are invited to join her graduation stream.
