Before he can make sense of his situation, a monstrous entity known as Oni, shrouded in a deadly Black Mist, suddenly appears and kills both Tsukimiya and himself.
However, the next moment, Takeru finds himself back in Denji Heian-kyo, alive. Realising he has been trapped in a time loop, he resolves to train under Abeno Seimei, mastering onmyo techniques to rewrite fate and protect Tsukimiya from her impending death.
