Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine join the fray.

Fortnite and Cowboy Bebop fans are in for a treat, thanks to an upcoming collaboration. Announced on Fortnite’s official X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook accounts on Thursday (27 February), the collab's teaser showcases Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine wielding guns in the Fortnite universe.

This long-requested crossover arrives with Chapter 6 Season 2, bringing their classic looks from the neo-noir space Western anime to the Item Shop. The iconic art style stays true to the original, making it feel like they’ve stepped straight out of a late-'90s retro screen.

What’s in the Cowboy Bebop bundle, and how do you get it?

The Cowboy Bebop skins for Faye Valentine and Spike Spiegel are available in the Item Shop under the "Cowboy Bebop" tab. They can be purchased via the Cowboy Bebop Bundle or as individual cosmetics.

The Cowboy Bebop Bundle includes:

  • Faye Valentine (Outfit + Selectable Styles) – 1,500 V-Bucks
  • Spike Spiegel (Outfit + Selectable Styles) – 1,500 V-Bucks
  • Jukebox Pop (Emote) – 400 V-Bucks
  • Lil' Swordfish II (Emote + Traversal) – 500 V-Bucks
  • Red Tail Reaver (Pickaxe) – 800 V-Bucks
  • Swordfish II Slasher (Pickaxe) – 800 V-Bucks
  • Multi-Purpose Phone (Back Bling) – 300 V-Bucks
  • Roses for Julia (Back Bling) – 300 V-Bucks
  • Valentine Blue (Wrap + Animated) – 500 V-Bucks

Like previous anime collaborations, Faye Valentine and Spike Spiegel do not have LEGO Styles, but they can still be used in Ballistic, Battle Royale/Zero Build, Rocking Racing, and Festival modes. While a LEGO Fortnite Odyssey experience with these characters isn't available yet, it could be a possibility in the future.

To get everything in the Cowboy Bebop Bundle, you can purchase it at a discounted price of 3,400 V-Bucks from the Fortnite Item Shop. Alternatively, all cosmetics are available separately.

Collab gains mixed reactions from players

While many fans were initially excited about the collaboration, some have been disappointed with some of its final design choices. In a Reddit post by damtastic titled Spike and Faye in the Bebop Bundle! Cop or Drop?, players voiced concerns about what they felt was missing from the collab. One of the most common criticisms, pointed out by Redditors MondayAssasin and Frooty_Vibes, was the absence of Cowboy Bebop’s ships as gliders.

Redditor Alphasilverhawk also found the overall cosmetic offerings lacking, stating: “The pickaxes are uninspired; literally ships on sticks, no glider(s) of either ships shown on the pickaxes or emote, no Jam Track of the music used in the emote.” Additionally, some players felt the bundle was overpriced.

However, others in the same thread expressed excitement and confirmed they were planning to buy Spike or Faye regardless. The Cowboy Bebop skins will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop until 8 March 2025, 9:00 AM SGT / 8:00 PM EST.
