Doraemon: Nobita’s Art World Tales movie reveals new trailer and release date

The film focuses on Nobita, Doraemon, and their friends’ journey into another world.

The sci-fi fantasy series loved by millions of people across the globe is coming back with another new movie. Doraemon: Nobita’s Art World Tales, the 44th feature film in the Doraemon franchise, is set to come out on Friday, March 7, 2025 in theatres across Japan. A brand new trailer was just released by the official Doraemon Channel X (formerly Twitter) account, highlighting bits and pieces of the adventure Nobita and his friends will embark on. 

The movie is being released to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Doraemon film franchise. Based on the globally acclaimed series created by Fujiko F. Fujio, Doraemon: Nobita’s Art World Tales will be directed by Yukiyo Teramoto, who is the director of the Doraemon anime series and the first female director in the franchise. Satoshi Itō is writing the screenplay for the project. Shin-Ei Animation, TV Asahi, and ADK are producing the movie together. The latest trailer also included the theme song, titled ‘Sketch’, performed by Aimyon. 

The cast of the movie includes Wasabi Mizuta as Doraemon, Megumi Ōhara as Nobita, Yumi Kakazu as Shizuka, Subaru Kimura as Gian, Tomokazu Seki as Suneo, Misaki Watada as Claire, Atsumi Tanezaki as Milo, Misaki Kuno as Chai, Kouji Suzuka as Pal, Miki Fujimoto as Queen Arturia, Mikio Date as King Arturia, and Takeshi Tomizawa as Critic. As per the official website of the movie, the story will revolve around Nobita and Doraemon entering a medieval European painting with their friends. Once in a different world, the group will meet Claire and her magical animal friends and go on an epic adventure filled with magic and danger.
