Based on the novel series written by Saka and illustrated by Chorefuji, Once Upon a Witch’s Death tells the story of 17-year-old apprentice witch Meg Raspberry. After celebrating her birthday, Meg’s magic teacher Faust informs her that Meg is going to die soon. To stop Death, the young witch needs to concoct the Seed of Life, which requires the tears of joy from 1000 people. The show takes us on a journey with Meg to help people and collect their joyful tears to save her life.
