The upcoming Lupin III anime movie, Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku (Lupin the Third the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline) just unveiled a new trailer. It was also announced on the official website that the film will be released theatrically on Friday, 27 June, 2025. More details about the theme song and staff have also been revealed.

Animated by Telecom Animation Films, the upcoming movie will be directed by Yuya Takahashi, who has worked on multiple films of the series already. James Shimoji is the music composer for the anime movie while Katuhito Ishii is the creative advisor. TMS Entertainment is producing the project while TOHO NEXT is distributing it. The theme song of the movie is ‘The IIIrd Eye’ performed by B’z. Fans can listen to a bit of the song in the trailer.

Lupin IIIrd the Movie is based on Money Punch’s original manga series. It revolves around Lupin III, the grandson of gentleman thief Arsène Lupin (created by Maurice Leblanc). Ever since the manga first began in 1967, Lupin III’s story has been adapted into many anime series and movies. The upcoming film revolves around Arsène Lupin III and his group who venture into a mysterious island to find the treasure hidden there. But the dangers they face might not let them succeed. Fans of the manga and anime are excited about this release because it’s the first 2D animated film of the franchise in 30 years.
