Mr. Murakami gets what he deserves and we couldn’t be happier.
There are few things more satisfying than a terrible person getting what they deserve. Thanks to Kouki’s awesome and frankly terrifying newfound power, Ms. Adachi is able to take away Murakami’s power in the latest chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga. Once he lands in the school gym, Aira is all but ready to kick him into oblivion.

The chapter begins with an ominous page of the millions of flies hovering over the city. We see Mr. Murakami pick Ms. Adachi up and throw her onto the sofa. He starts to approach her, with clear nefarious intentions. The Jiangshi vampires that we saw a few chapters ago are ominously standing right behind Murakami. But Adachi doesn’t want to release them just yet as she doesn’t know his power. But suddenly, thousands of insects enter the room, hovering over the duo. In the gym, Kouki continues to play the piano, which brings many insects in the room as well, terrifying Rin and Aira. The bugs start swarming the headless yokai players, keeping them away from the three girls.
Mai realises that Kouki’s power is ‘Lord of the Flies’ through which she can control countless insects to do her bidding just by playing the piano. The insects also completely swarm Murakami, covering his body. Adachi takes out a small pocketknife and asks him to admit defeat although she doesn’t know where the insects came from. Murakami asks if she has also been collecting powers like he has. But with the insects driving him crazy, he is forced to admit defeat and give up his powers to Ms. Adachi. It’s revealed that his yokai power allowed him to control the headless demons.
As soon as his powers are gone, Murakami falls to the ground and asks for help. Adachi tries to get the insects off of him, even asking the Jiangshi for help. However, it’s proven useless when the bugs break through the room’s window and take Murakami away with them. At the gym, the headless basketball players disappear and Kouki falls to the ground. Suddenly, the insects drop Murakami on the floor in front of Aira, Kouki, and Rin. He tries to get away by saying it’s a supernatural phenomenon, but Aira kicks him in the face. Panicked, Murakami promises to delete the pictures of Kouki. However, Aira is not convinced and keeps kicking him, calling him a pig.

Aira Shiratori, the woman you are. Ever since her introduction, Aira has grown to be a phenomenal character with immense fighting prowess. Although Kouki’s Lord of the Flies power stole the show in the first half of the chapter, the second half was all about our resident pink-haired badass. Her consecutive kicks to Murakami’s face feel like a breath of fresh air after everything he has done. It was so fun to see the three girls take down so many enemies and their ringleaders all on their own. Although I’m scared of Kouki’s power, I can concur that it’s one of the coolest abilities in the manga. I’m also excited to see what happens with Okarun and Kinta, who are facing off some weird aliens outside the gym.
