On 1 March, 2024, an event was held in Japan to celebrate the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. Titled ‘Corps Gathering’ this event mainly focused on the upcoming trilogy of movies, which will adapt the final arc of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga series. Fans have been waiting eagerly for an announcement about the first movie.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc first movie release date
Thankfully, it was revealed during the event that the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie will be released in Japan on Friday, 18 July, 2025. Unfortunately, the international release dates for the film haven’t been confirmed. But fans are hopeful that there will be a confirmation soon. A new visual has also been unveiled on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the series, as well as a long promotional video.
During the event, it was also announced that the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will get a special 4K release for five weeks on May 9, 2025. The rest of the anime series will also receive similar treatment as all the arcs will be released in theaters each week from April until the release of the Infinity Castle movie.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc story and other details
The Demon Slayer anime is directed by Haruo Sotozaki under Studio Ufotable. Akira Matsushima is the character designer and chief animation director. Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina compose the music for the series. Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll have the rights to screen the three upcoming movies globally. You can watch the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series on Crunchyroll and Netflix depending on your location.
The Infinity Castle arc is the final battle story arc of the manga by Gotouge. It focuses on the ultimate battle for survival between the Demon Slayers and the demons directly under Muzan. As the creator of all demons, Muzan is extremely powerful. But that doesn’t mean the 12 Moons, including Kokushibo, Douma, and Akaza, are any less. Tanjiro and the rest of the Demon Slayer corps will find them in grave danger in the upcoming films.
