The voice actresses behind the heroines of The Beginning After the End has been revealed.
As reported by Comic Natalie, the cast for the heroines of the upcoming anime ‘The Beginning After The End’ has been revealed, alongside a new teaser visual of main character Arthur Leywin.
Kana Ichinose, known for her roles as Fern from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and Suletta Mercury from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, is set to take on the role of deuteragonist Tessia Eralith. Tessia is the childhood friend of Arthur Leywin, and is the sole daughter of the former king and queen of the elven kingdom Elenoir, where she is also the heiress.
Meanwhile, Chiaki Omigawa, who voiced Naomi Tanizaki in Bungou Stray Dogs WAN! and Anri in Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story-, will take on the role of Jasmine Flamesworth. Jasmine is a member of the Twin Horns Party, and acts as Arthur’s mentor in all things adventuring.
Arthur Leywin was previously revealed to be voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara, with his past life counterpart, King Gray, being voiced by Makoto Furukawa.
The series is produced by Studio A-Cat and directed by Keitaro Motonaga, with Takamitsu Kano in charge of scripts. Masami Sueoka is slated as character designer, while Keiji Inai composed the music. The show is set to air in April 2025, though no definitive date has been revealed as of yet, and will be streamed on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block, with Crunchyroll streaming for online viewers.
The Beginning After the End is based on an American web novel series by Tae Ha Lee (TurtleMe) and illustrated by Fuyuki23. Serialisation for the series began in January 2017, while a webtoon adaptation, which is also illustrated by Fuyuki23, was released in July 2018. The official blurb for the series available on TurtleMe’s website describes the story as:
King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability, but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic. Given a second chance at life, the once-king strives to understand his role in this new world and the purpose of his reincarnation while correcting the mistakes of his past.
