Grand Blue Dreaming Season 2 story and other details

The anime is based on Kenji Inoue’s manga series of the same name, which has been serialised in the Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine since 2014. The first season of the anime came out in 2018, and was an immediate hit amongst fans who loved the absurd humour of the show. A live-action movie adaptation was released in 2020.

The story of Grand Blue Dreaming revolves around Iori Kitahara, who moves to a coastal town named Izu in his first year of university. He has big dreams about his experience in the university. However, he is pulled into the crazy antics of the drunken Diving Club by his seniors Shinji Tokita and Ryuujirou Kotobuki. Life starts to change for him when even more bizarre characters join their gang, including Iori’s cousins.
