A brand new trailer for the upcoming The Brilliant Healer's Life in the Shadows anime has been released. The preview video, which came out on Tuesday, February 11, featured many additional details other than a glimpse into the series. Most importantly, it was announced that the anime will premiere on April 3, 2025.
The trailer also confirmed that the famous rock band bokula will be performing the show’s opening theme song ‘Light Maker’, and included additional characters and cast.
The new VAs that have joined the project are:
- Yuki Nakashima (Lisa Imai in the BanG Dream! Series and Saki Ayase in Days with My Stepsister) as Krishna
- Taku Yashiro (Kōichi Shindo in Horimiya and Hirokazu Arai in Chainsaw Man) as Zonde
- Masaaki Mizunaka (Keisuke Baji in Tokyo Revengers and Yukinari Arima in Wind Breaker) as Aston
The other cast members of the show include Shōgo Sakata as Zenos, Miharu Hanai as Lily, Yōko Hikasa as Carmilla, Anna Nagase as Zophia, Mashiro Hitaka as Lynga, and Sayaka Kikuchi as Loewe. Based on a novel series written by Sakaku Hishikawa and illustrated by Daburyu, the anime is being produced by Makaria. Joe Yoshizaki is directing the anime with Taika Miyagi writing the scripts and Harumi Fuuki composing the music. The character designs for the show are being handled by denpuougi and Yoshihiro Sawada.
The story of this upcoming fantasy series revolves around Zenos, an extremely poor boy who doesn’t have any opportunities. After seeing a healer, Zenos puts his all into training to become one. After successfully becoming a healer, Zenos is hired by an adventurers’ party and puts up with their immense abuse just to earn a living. However, the party kicks him out when they feel his usefulness has run out. Without any money left, Zenos opens up a clinic in the shadowy parts of the city. His brilliance as a healer quickly attracts attention, even from the royal palace. Zenos just wants to earn money and live in peace, but it might not be possible after all.
